Theo Triantafyllidis is an artist who builds virtual spaces and the interfaces for the human body to inhabit them. He creates complex worlds and systems where the virtual and the physical merge in uncanny, absurd and poetic ways.
These are manifested as performances, mixed reality experiences, games and interactive installations. He holds an MFA from UCLA, Design Media Arts. Selected solo exhibitions include’ Pheromone Spa’ at The Breeder, Athens (2022), ‘Radicalization Pipeline’ at Novo, Milan (2021); ‘Role Play’ at Meredith Rosen Gallery, New York (2018); and ‘Pretzel Twist’ at The Breeder, Athens (2017). Group exhibitions include Worldbuilding: Gaming & Art, Julia Stoschek Foundation, Düsseldorf (2022), ‘Among the Machines’, Zabludowicz Collection, London, (2022), ‘Athens Biennale: Eclipse’, Athens (2021); ‘Radical Gaming’, HeK Basel (2021); Sundance New Frontier Exhibition, Park City, Utah (2020); and Hyper Pavilion, 57th Venice Biennale (2017).
