It is not entirely impossible to wonder: what if there is a war between Taiwan and China? This guerrilla theater explores how information replaces memory through algorithmic techniques. In particular, this theater is a virtual and imagined guerrilla war between China and Taiwan.War of Memory is based on street warfare. By a set of information perpetrators, the theater spreads virtual warfare memory obtained from online users and on-site audiences to passers-by’s smartphones or shows it on users’ social networks. The artist, Yi-Shan SHIH, will regenerate a new virtual scene of warfare between China and Taiwan through personal memory collected from social media (including images, videos, voices, and texts).
