The world in I follow you all along the wandering is built after the worldview from 2022’s video production Unstable connection is because you are not faithful enough. This is a non-linear place where everyone could pass by. There is no concept of time, nor limit. The daily life is englobed by confusing messages, in which the false is taken for the truth, and the truth can be false. It means that the indigestibleness of the information in our life is no longer something boggling but is rather becoming a way of living, which is more than a habit. People in this place are in the situation that everyone is serving each other, satisfying each other’s needs. In fact, wandering the Web is not only a nonfiction, but also a mindless journal writing. Different things are saved on the Web, such as our digital footprints, soul, faith, and even plenty of save points of our gray murky memories. Perhaps, the consciousness using the media is sensing what you are perceiving during the wandering from the other side.

When certain habits gradually become conventions, when certain urban legends gradually become myths, when certain common memories gradually become beliefs, and when the Internet has been worshipped as a god, perhaps everything makes sense. If the above-mentioned events are turned into a lump, this lump may be a countryside legend or means nothing at all. Little by little and through many hints, we figured we can tell the wood from the trees again, entering this global vision. The prophetic statements in the video are foreshadowing the self-consciousness of the Internet and all the things related to it. These things from the Internet are ferociously having chemical exchanges with the reality and are invisibly floating around you and me.
Zhe-Hao Hsu develops his artistic practices in spatial installations, videos, and mixed media. By following closely the current media, he highlights the relationship between humans, information, and symbols. He seeks to answer the question: Confronted with a large amount of information in our daily life at the passive receiving end, can we take back the initial action? From the subtle everyday life observation of intriguing phenomena, his current works focus on the crux of the post-Internet era by echoing back to the contemporary media structure. With a sense of humor, his works reflect the confusing context of current media daily life.
