“Does a human have to be human?” The series, Human-like non-human – HAOS human cognition liberation project, sees the human body’s perception of electricity as a sculptural approach and uses “human sensory enhancer” (HAOS) to create cyborg humans. The artist has created a series of art installations and performances to serve as rituals that activate superhuman electrical sensing, with the audience invited to transcend biological boundaries to the level of superhuman and to explore the possibilities with the use of non-invasive, non-implant devices for the evolution of human-machine integration.
Human-like non-human – HAOS human cognition liberation project unlock the “electrical perception” to the human tongue. Working in the ambiguous area of being non-invasive to the human body, challenges are made in the current cyborg context which sees human enhancement achieved through implants.
