作品介紹
模擬生活始於電影及電腦遊戲，現今已影響各個領域，從建築、都市計劃、交通導航到市場和交易預測，人類行為的虛擬場景正改變我們生活的方式，馮・魏德邁的影像作品《轉化場景》預示了模擬社會群體行為可能產生的影響。本片是藝術家另一件長期創作計劃的部份呈現，該計劃以埃利亞斯．卡內堤的著作《群眾與力量》為參考依據，旨在改變現今看待社會影像、群眾控制及民眾潛力及其潛在危險的觀點。
Artworks
Simulated life began in the movies and computer games, but is influencing many fields today. In architecture, city planning, traffic navigation, and market and trade predictions, virtual scenarios of human behaviour change the way we live. Clemens von Wedemeyer's film Transformation Scenario creates a speculative narration on the impact of emulated group behaviour in society. The film is part of a long-term project by the artist making reference to the book Mass and Power (1960) by Elias Canetti, shifting the view on images of society, crowd control and the potential and danger of masses today.
藝術家介紹
克萊門斯・馮・魏德邁1974年出生於德國哥廷根，現居、工作於柏林，同時也在萊比鍚視覺藝術學院任教，其影片及錄像裝置作品曾於第十三屆文件展、2007年的敏斯特雕塑計劃和柏林雙年展展出，他也曾在許多知名藝術機構舉辦個展，包含羅馬二十一世紀美術館、漢堡美術館及芝加哥當代藝術館，他的影片作品曾在維也納電影博物館、選集電影資料中心及奧伯豪森短片影展播放。
Artist
Clemens von Wedemeyer, born in 1974 in Göttingen, Germany, currently lives and works in Berlin and holds a professorship for expanded cinema at the Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig. His films and video installations have been shown in exhibitions as dOCUMENTA(13), skulptur projekte münster 07 or the Berlin Biennial. He had solo shows in institutions as MAXXI, Rome, Kunsthalle Hamburg and MCA Chicago and his films were shown at Filmmuseum Wien, Anthology Film Archives or Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen.
